A cross-stitch addiction requires accessories!
Most stitcher's I know have been doing it for a long time. Hand embroidery feeds a deep artistic energy and longing to create something lasting and beautiful. Once I picked it up, I just couldn't put it down. I was hooked from the begining.
That being said...like others of my kind, I tend to fall in love with patterns and have lots of projects going at the same time. Embarrassing to admit but I was keeping my work in gallon Ziploc bags. THE HORROR! (if you do this, please stop, it violates the laws of needlework)
You have to have a system of storage. Not knowing which floss goes with what project or finding footprints on your linen is terrible. So I started making project bags. I needed a good system to keep projects coordinated, clean and convenient.
Then the thought occurred that we spend our lives making these beautiful stitched pieces but what we carry them around in (sometimes for years!) isn't as beautiful as what's in the bag???
